Would a dashcam mounted by the mirror see much with the bonnet up?

Agreed, but unless you hear “Oh dear, I’ve just forgotten to put oil in. Never mind, it’s my break so I won’t bother putting any in now, then conveniently forget” audio wouldn’t help. Unless the glug noises are very loud. Thumbs Up

Either way, I would want an exact account of what happened! Couldn’t he claim through his insurance against the garage?

I would doubt very much that’s anything an insurer would cover, well normal car insurance. Legal assistance cover may help if there was enough evidence to go legal.

Yeah maybe you’re right.. I think I would be going down the legal route.. it went i there fine and came out basically a write off.. I would want an independent garage to asses the route cause.. Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black
