Assuming you didn't leave a window open Steve it's likely to be a blocked drainage tube, this happened on a few early D3s but not heard of it happening for a while so you might just be unlucky. Take a trip to your dealer to get it sorted, ISTR there's a TSB or two on the subject - I'll take a look if I get a moThe End

thanks for that, happily, the windows were closed
I shall take it to my local dealer although based on past experience of them when I was trying to buy a car, they will probably check the wrong car
walked out this morning and guess what..... water ingress into front passenger foot well....thought id log on for help and hay presto, i'm not alone........ off to the dealer i go...
This TSB seems to refer to water running down front LH a piller, mine is coming in under the lower glove box... when feeling for wetness i found a small slot which had some form of sound deading material in it this to was wet !
My A piller and headlinings are dry... do you reckon its the same thing?

I found today that I have water dripping from the drivers sun visor swivel hinge and from the ambiance light in the front light cluster . The front of the roof lining is soaked.

Noticed you've got an 'S', so it won't be blocked drain tubes as these come from the sunroof. It could be this one, though

Service Procedure
NOTE : Irrespective of which side of the vehicle the water ingress/trim adrift condition is found, to ensure a right first time repair the procedure should be applied to both sides. The repair kit includes the necessary parts to perform the procedure on both sides.
1 . Release the seven retaining clips and remove the A-pillar molding.
2 . Remove and discard the foam washer from the lower peg.
3 . CAUTION : Ensure any remaining protrusions will not contact the body A-pillar.

4 . NOTE : Ensure the area where the patch is to be applied is clean and dry.
