Warranty
Gents a friend is looking at buying a d4, he is currently looking at an early 59 plate with 110K on clock but full LR service history.
I have advised that he takes out a good warranty that would cover engine failure or main lump of cost.
Has anyone got any recomendations or thoughts on companies that they would or would not use?

A couple of months ago I’d have said try WD but at that mileage he’d be lucky, but now their prices have gone stratospheric it’s going to be truely stupid money.

At that age and mileage, warranty cover options are going to be limited. WIth all of the talk over crank failures, suspension failure is still the most common claim and this will be written out of any WD policy at that mileage.
Update: I see everything at WD has changed. Ignore the above, but I wouldn’t take their current offering seriously!! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

My Motor Easy policy, currently about £600/year, is due for renewal soon. They've not been too bad this last 12 months. Be interesting to see what price they quote for the next 12 months as I now have nearly 124k miles on the clock.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets!
