I’ve hit that age, Saga Ins cheapest quote
Any experience on Saga? They are a good chunk cheaper than Privilege, who have just gone stupid, so now looking around.
Thoughts oh old & wise ones out there?

Mrs Narpy often refers to me as grumpy. I have news for her, I've worked all my life and feel as though I have earned the right to be as miserable as I like. I've grafted when I really wanted to be doing other things so I served my time, earned my ticket and now have the right to moan and whinge at whatever I feel like moaning and whinging at. Any normal, 50 plus years of age male, who has also worked all his life, also has the god given right to be grumpy and god damn proud of it…........I am.

Back on topic … my Dad used SAGA a few years ago and they were cheap. however, they were pants when he needed to claim. Luckily, his damage was caused by Manchester Airport not fastening their buildings together properly and they are self-insured so just paid for everything.

Check that you're covered for off-roading if it's something you're interested in.
I've found that policies on comparison sites exclude it and have had to use a specialist broker (lots on this site). I understand that Land Rover's own (expensive) insurance also does not cover it....

No need for off-road cover, the Jazzez aren’t very good off-road.
Ended up going with AA, I don’t feel old enough for Saga. Privilege renewals were £280 & £200 for old & newer Jazz, AA was £180 and £108 respectively. Bit of extra cash in the kitty for spending on the D4.

saga are just like any of the others, cheap to start with but big hikes at renewal time. MiL used them for house ins, but didnt bother to check for 4 years at each renewal time. When I checked it she was being asked for 800quid when average was just above 200 for the same cover.

Old - MY12 D4 SDV6 XS Auto - Ipanema Sand with Almond Leather - Plus other niceties, and D4.com sticker

Been eligible for their products for a few years now but never found any of them anywhere near a competitive price, I think they are expensive all-round.

I am with Saga for the first time, they where much cheaper than the next offering due to the having a “special offer” on.
One thing to check when renewing I found was windscreen cover, some, Swinton for example while very competitive only offer £250 max cover with £75 excess It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
