Unclip remote Climate receiver
I’ve fitted a remote climate receiver bought from eBay and it doesn’t want to pair with the remote - I’ve tried removing the fuse and leaving for 5 minutes before putting back in and pressing the off button On the remote to pair- led on the remote lights up green then flashes red 3 times in cycles and goes off.
CCF set to timed climate with radio remote option as stated elsewhere and the timed climate works and FBH tests OK on IID But no sign of communication from the remote to the receiver. Either the pairing routine isn’t working or the receiver is dead. The receiver was the only used item in the set as the remote and aerial are both new so my thinking is it’s possibly a duff unit.
I was going to try disconnecting the cable from the receiver but can’t see how the clip works, and there is no mention in the D4 manual I have it on the Kit installation guide I have from Topix
Anyone have any ideas how to unclip it or advice on how to force the pairing, as it’s doing my head in!Must stop buying shiny toys....

Remote is LR033464
Arial is LR008654
Revceiver is LR036695
Get a green initial flash on the remote but then 3 red flashes - have tried it a few times and removed the options in the CCF and reset them again just to make sure
At a bit of a loss so guessing its the receiver as that is the only used part, but could be the aerial or the remote I guess.
Just want to try and unclip the receiver cable inside the car and reconnect but dont want to break the connector as it seems to have a clipping mechanism but I cant see how its heldMust stop buying shiny toys....

Thought so, you have got an Eberspacher type remote not a Webasto remote.
If it was sold to you as a Webasto or D4 compatible remote (i.e. on ebay), send it back!
You need a Webasto T91 type remote with "ON" and "OFF" buttons not the T91R remote with heat/OFF buttons.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Was listed as - RANGE ROVER SPORT EVOQUE DISCOVERY IV 4 PRE-HEATER REMOTE CONTROL KEY FOB
Oddly does have the ON and OFF buttons but now ive cracked it open in the day light it does have EASYSTART on the interior label
Thanks for that Martin - save me pulling out the receiver needlessly after I so deftly managed to get it all in place without removing the panels in the pitch darkness with wind and rain - Must have taken the bl**dy fuse out 10 times in the rain Must stop buying shiny toys....

I had the same issue; buying an incorrectly described remote.
There seem to be three types available:
1. The ONLY correct one as per the photo. This is LR part number LR027493
and two other incorrect remotes often labelled as being for the D4 and often even incorrectly quoting the above part number...
2. The one you have which is discernible by the different antenna section (top centre of the remote)
3. The same style as the correct remote but with the 'On' button having a heater graphic/logo rather than the word "ON". This was the type that I initially bought and which the seller incorrectly described as LR027493. I've actually just had my refund from Ebay
In the end, I just had to buy one from a Dealership where I discovered one of the differences with the real JLR part.....by virtue of the price charged, it must be full of diamonds!

Just to finish up on this
I got home tonight after a few days away, Amazon had delivered a new battery I ordered for the remote (just in case) and the remote from Russell had arrived in the post.
Removed the fuse to the FBH controller (top right fuse in the box) for 5 minutes plugged it back in and pressed off for 3 seconds on the FBH remote.
Put everything back together and closed the bonnet, locked the car and went in for a coffee to ensure the car had gone to sleep and was nice and cold
After finishing my coffee I stood in my bedroom window and pressed the remote on to see if the receiver was able to cope with that distance.
When I got back downstairs and out the front door I was greeted by the hum of the FBH and the waft of Diesel smoke
Happy Days!
Thanks everyone for the help on this!
Cheers
once again

Nice one....it is so easy to instal when you have the right parts
I’m getting very fond of that smell of diesel and the sound as I approach the car.....I know it will be comfortable when I get in, and the engine will not be starting cold
After pressing the fob you will notice the green light will illuminate then after a few seconds will rhythmically flash when the heater is running.

I thought it was a red light that flashed but it’s a few years since I used one.
