Taking a trip Frog-side later in the week, and booked on Eurotunnel.
Does anyone know of decent travel insurance that will cover me should the Beast break down on the long trip from the Cold North to sunny Folkstone? Been stung once before for an unavoidable delay an missed our pre-arranged crossing. The thought of coughing up £200+ to get on the next crossing is not a palatable one.
Looked at a couple on Moneysupermarket and they exclude losses arising from breakdowns.

I have travel cover with NFU for the year, ISTR includes cover if breakdown occurs. Only stipulation is that it must be a 'holiday' of more than two days I think. Bodsys Brake Bible
Sorry DG - not explained myself well there at all.
Not worried about the risk of breaking down, as this would be covered by LRA - worried about any breakdown making us miss Eurotunnel there or back - given they are pre-bought tickets if I am late you have to do pay on the day at £200+ a pop.
