Land Rover Start Off Road |
|
Land Rover is piloting a new driving programme aimed at 11-17 year olds called Land Rover Start Off-Road.
Land Rover Start Off-Road driving experiences are designed specifically for 11 to 17 year olds. They can have fun whilst learning skills and techniques which will give them a head start when it comes to handling vehicles.
Statistics show the younger you are, the quicker you pick up new skills and the more open you are to learning good driving habits.
By offering 11 to 17 year olds the chance to experience off-road driving at an early age, we are helping them to build a strong foundation of driving skills for their future years on and off-road.
Whilst it’s fine to just have one lesson, we have developed a programme of learning to take participants through different off-road scenarios each time they visit.
These include:
A cockpit drill
Steering and braking techniques
Reversing and slalom skills
Climbing and descending hills
Crossing ditches and ridges
Driving in ruts, wet grass and mud
Water crossings
The programme will expose a new young generation to the Land Rover brand and to the renowned capabilities of our products.
Details:
All Range Rover Evoque vehicles are fitted with dual controls and our highly-skilled and friendly driving instructors are all pre-checked (by the Criminal Records Bureau) which is a requirement when working with children. All youngsters will require a parent or guardian to be present, who can also take part in the experience if they wish as a rear seat passenger.
30 minute and 60 minute lessons are available, for individuals or groups of friends. Cost is £** for 30 minutes or £** for 60 minutes.
Bookings can be made over the telephone on 0844 846 0605 or via an online booking system that will go live week commencing 2 September.

I've booked my eldest 2 into Rockingham.
Sounds like fun and the more experience kids get of driving in a controlled environment, all the better for when they turn 17 I reckon!
My 14yr old shunts artics in our yard at weekends so he's getting pretty good! If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!
2010 Discovery TDV6 HSE with a few bits and bobs on.
1986 V8 90 County
