For info really.

Just phoned my insurer and asked how much extra I would have to pay on my insurance if I had my car re mapped by a modest 30 odd brake horse

They came back and said 50 quid about 15 % increase.

I wouldn't have told them but that's just me, never heard of an insurance company checking an ECU for a map.

I so wondered about that, thought about getting it done and not telling them. Didn't mind paying an extra couple of quid, but think they may even refuse to insure if the miriad of questions about the tow at are anything to go by! Just 'cos your paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you!
