Hi folks , I'm getting a blowout noise from underneath my loved '05 D3 auto With 108,000 miles done .
It's not exhaust or air reservoir , and can only be heard at start up or when putting your foot down when driving in lowere gears .
Any ideas to what it is ??
I'm thinking air compressor . 2008 Audi Q7 S-line 240

Think you need to be a bit more specific buddy!
Can you get the noise to occur when raising the suspension to off road then back to normal height? OR is it a boost leak noise from under the bonnet? Any excess black smoke when putting your foot down? If so possible split intercooler hose

Thanks . I tried the lifting and lowering , and can hear nothing unusual . I haven't noticed any increase in black smoke , but I have noticed it slightly down on power at times . I'm guessing that you might be right about a split hose . Will check that out and let you know . 2008 Audi Q7 S-line 240

Ok , checked under bonnet again and found a large split in the top intercooler hose .
Don't know how I missed seeing it the first time I looked , but that seems to be the source of the noise .
Now to get my hands dirty replacing it
