Todays (18/8/05) forum

I must say todays forum has been great guys Very Happy . A lot of data has been input with the odd bit of humour and many people taking part. I must say I like the site like this enormously Thumbs Up .

I may be shot down, called an old bore but, could I ask that on very serious issues and events, that the humour is kept to basic level or better still a virtually minimal level. At my age I haven't got the time left to read all the banta Crying or Very sad to organise events.

No doubt you will all have a go at me now, its your priviledge, so let me know how you feel. Have you an emoticon with a suit of armour Martin, I may need it.

Oh, I like banta, but maybe in the correct place and I am as guilty as anyone, sorry Embarassed

I would concur.

Hijacking of threads does seem to happen all to easily, & Martin must get fed up of housework on the site.

I'm not old, just a slightly boring fart also.

Light hearted quips fine so long as they are related to the topic.

mmm Brian you can be sooo serious AND correct at times Wink

Agree, forum today was good. The odd line of banter is good... but not when it goes on for pages and pages.

Come on chaps, BN is the biggest banterer of them all which is why he has made so much more posts than everyone else - he's obviously feeling really guilty which is why he started this thread. Rolling with laughter

Not guilt Dom, just showed up today on how the site goes with some items of interest. I think some guys are a bit intimidated by some banta. Yes I love it, but don't want to upset people who have real concerns or real interest. It is easier to follow and results are easier to read with less banta. Martin has set up a chat room, which I think is brilliant, don't you.

Maybe, but most are for organising the events in reality. If I dropped them my count would be low. I just think the site works nicely with humour and not too much banta. I am as bad, admitted, but today showed up how good it can be.
