Been out of beta for sometime - you need to update the updater first - not sure if it is a direct link on the website as I had a link from GAP by email.

Yes, final version of v2.18 released a couple of days ago. I got helpful email from the folks at GAP.

Delete your updater, then download it again & follow instructions to update your IID.

Ordered last night. I won't be updating mine until it's connected, as per user guide.

Very useful but not essential, I have two fully charged batteries connected and even after two hours with engine switched on and engine not running I had 12.2 volts showing on a multi-meter.

Ok but read this

http://blog.ctek.com/?tag=battery-support-2

I thought about connecting my heavy duty battery booster, but that's not adequate. It's about amps as well as volts. Don't want to toast my ECU (s).

Have you tried a hard reset? Then see if car wakes up & works. Maybe then wait til you have a power source before trying again.

Thanks guys, I did not get any helpful email from GAP. Actually I didn't ever get a single email from GAP since I've had my IID Tool (Beginning of May this year). Apart from the activation email that is. My account is correctly set so I have no idea why they forgot about me Whistle Spam filter is not an issue either.

Anyway, I updated the updater to update my IID Tool and the new updater correctly found an update and updated to v2.18.05 Mr. Green (too many update words in this sentence Mr. Green )

Now I can go have a play Smile

Thanks again folks! Bow down

Maybe they're staging the emails to avoid the downloads overwhelming their servers.

I was a beta tester and found no issues with it, I programmed and re-flashed the BCM etc. There was notice of a new release yesterday which might be worth trying.

Yes, they are doing their very best to help, but still no joy with my upload to car, it is still disabled, a point worth mentioning this is release 2.18.05 I have been having problems with, mainly Body Control Module upload, there is now a further enhancement to it 2.18.05 Release B0161 only released yesterday. I have downloaded and used the last release with different results to the earlier one but a still failed upload Big Cry Been playing with it for two days now starting to get suicidal.

There is no problem with a power supply if you are sensible, Gap inform me the body control module should take 1 Minuit to upload it is timed out at 30 mins, other uploads may take 25 mins, the Iid tool checks the state of the battery before an upload if it is below 12.2 volts (I think) the process will be aborted. I have two 12v batteries connected and they have still been over 12.2v after 2 hours.

I wonder if you have a CAN BUS problem.

Have you tried reloading the original saved CCF file?

Reply from Gap,

‘’ The suspension ECU is on the High Speed CAN network while the BCM is on the Medium Speed CAN. Even if the high speed can is working correctly, which is your case, it does not mean that the medium speed CAN will, they use different physical connections at the OBD port."

- they really are pulling out all the stops to help.
