Just finished fitting my Philips Daylight 4 DRL's as sharky said (in this thread http://www.disco4.com/forum/topic90688.html ) they are easy to fit...... Once the brackets have been adapted to fit on the curved bumper!!
But all done and dusted, good tip re the live in the plug behind the grill, my FBH also messed about with the DRL's so moved the live to there. I guess there is an earth there too but ended up leaving that to the battery. Ill post some pics once the snow has gone!

I stuck on some small bits of triangular rubber to the leading edge, managed to get the right angle 1st time
Hardest bit was trying to work out if they were both at the same angle! Lined them up on a board and both shined at the same level anyway!

I got a set of those Philips DRLs in a box awaiting fitting. I'd be very interested in where exactly that live feed is.
If you remove the grill and look infront of the rads, to the right of the horns there is an unused plug which is fastened to the cross member, pull it off the clip and take the end off the plug and use a multimeter or tester to test the pins with the engine running. All the wires are the same but 1 come live with the engine. I just spliced into this wire and hey presto! If you ain't got a multimeter or tester ill whip my grill off and find out which wire it is.

Thanks for the info. I think I have the plug but... realised that where you have mounted your lights isn't available to me as I've underbody protection fitted and there is now a solid piece of 8mm alloy sitting just in the way there.
Back to the drawing board
EDIT: Having spent a while looking, I don't think I will be fitting these as the place under the bumper isn't available to me and the other options are a bit more complicated and I don't want to get into that.
So for anyone looking for a bargain, will be shortly going into the For Sale Section.

Did you look at mounting them in the stock location? Would the existing brackets work?'97 NAS D-90 - 2.8tdi with ZF

Yes I did. Thought about it for a while but it requires making permanent cuts into the bumper and I didn't really want to go that way.

These look good and cost far less than the OEM kit.
Has anyone on here managed to fit them in the stock position on a D4 ? (where the OEM ones are meant to go in the recess in the black plastic part of the bumper below and directly in line with the fog lamps.)2010 D4 TDV6 HSE - Nara Bronze

2008 D3 TDV6 XS (Stornoway) - Gone & missed
I am sure someone has done this, but involves taking off the bumper and plenty of cutting and glueing....... Ill have a look see if i can find it......

Just a quick note for something to watch out for, I was following a car yesterday and happen to notice that the LED's were turning off and on, not quickly, but would go off for a couple of seconds every 15 to 20 seconds or so and in no correlation to the road, bumps/corners etc. Still not sure why, but have moved the Wiring back to the battery as the FBH isn't used at the moment and gave the sidelight splice clamp a squeeze and all seems ok now, so doesn't seem to be the controller. Does anyone know what the positive wire behind the grill does, could this be being affected now the weather has warmed up, maybe related to Air Con or an additional Fan for warmer climates?
Just a thought and something for those using that wiring location to watch out for.
