Adjusting adaptive bi-xeon headlights
I have had a good look through the forums and it seems to be very complicated to adjust the lights for driving on the continent. Is this the case and is it worth it? Also can it be done without taking half of the front of the car to pieces, not easy when you have an A-frame bar.
I went across to DisneyLand Paris the other week and adjusted my headlights. I wont bother again, as I couldn't really see any difference. The difference in the beam isn't really noticeable with the Xenons. It's not worth the effort.
I drove for two hours in the dark in the UK with the lights adjusted for France and I couldn't notice any difference and no one flashed me for having lights too bright.Matt

I'd agree with that. I spent 9 days in France a couple of weeks back and didn't adjust mine and only got flashed once, and that was to warn me of a speed trap I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Does make one wonder why LR bothered to fit such a complicated system, which seems to be so user unfriendly. What I find more annoying is that had I not found this site I would have ended up sticking tape on my headlights as I was told by my local dealer that the lights were NOT adjustable and that I couldn't buy from LR beam benders!! Pretty good - NOT.

Our car is a UK supplied LHD and I don't even know which way they are adjusted! We've never changed them and nobody every flashes us in the UK or France (unless I "forget" to dip them 8) )

I'm not going to bother dismantling my car but I am going to introduce my local dealer's service department to this excellent site, that way they can learn to do all the things that they don't know how to do or say can't be done!! I do find it annoying how the quality of customer service changes once they have your money!! I know that car dealers are the same the world over but you hope for better........
