Diesel fumes & wading
Just done a little impromptu wading to get to & from walking the mutts. On the way out, no problem, however on the return leg the car was stinking inside with diesel fumes. The water was the same depth either way, 12" - 18" ish and this happened just after I opened my window to have a look outside. I assume it came from the fbh (it was 3degC according to the car). I seem to remember many moons ago that there was a know problem (and fix) to fumes from the fbh entering the cabin, can anyone point me in the right direction??

The fix was a software upgrade. Was an update to the climate control system. Assuming you had the enhancement program done you already have this.

Its not a perfect cure, it does stop the fumes first thing in the morning by closing the recirc flap. However, I reckon it does not close the said flap on a warm restart, when the engine is not totally cold, but still below the 75 deg threshold for fbh fire-up.
I still get the odd whiff of derv fumes. I think the wading could be coincidental.

Will keep an eye (or schnozze) on it, if I get it again I'll mess around with the recirc button to see if that helps.

I get the same; it is much better than it used to be, but I agree with Gareth that I don't think the software modification totally fixes the issue.

These boys, nooooooooo! My little puppies never give off strange odours, it's mostly methane! It's what puppies do!

Yeah, that brown one has a kind of guilty-but trying to deny it, look about it.
