If you had the choice.....

& were setting up the aftermarket extended warranty....the LR approved / badged one
would you opt for the one with or without assistance...I'm told its by the AA
or go with the non assistance version...& go with RAC / Green Flag / some other assistance supplier

so the question really is which assistance supplier ?
AA
RAC
Green Flag
Other....
 BREXIT - done properly.

Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Personally, and I'm sure this won't be shared by all, I detest the AA. Useless.

And "Relay" is designed by a sadist, allegedly because it avoids the AA having to fit tachos in their vehicles. It took me 20 hours to get home from Newcastle in December, left freezing 5 times in lay-bys and service stations.

SNIP
rules forbid drivers of commercial vehicles, including rescue tow trucks, from travelling more than 62 miles from their bases unless the vehicle is fitted with a tachograph. Both the AA and RAC use hundreds of trucks which are not fitted with the equipment. As a result, they are dropping off "rescued" drivers when only part-way home, and telling them to wait for another truck to take them on the next leg of their trip.
SNIp

My experience exactly. I'll never use them again.

On the other hand: Britannia Rescue: Won't come out unless you've broken down. "Stuck" doesn't cut it, you need a fault.
Green Flag: So far so good...

are you sure ? I've been stuck (keys locked in my old Freelander) twice, and both time Britania Rescue came out and broke in and got me up and running.

Nothing but praise for BR, they always turn up within 1 hour (use local garages) and take you all the way to your chosen destination. Cant beat them IMHO.
