D4 Adaptive lighting 2012MY
Have a D4 with vision assist/adaptive xenons and cornering lamps, previously had D3 with adaptives. About to go to Germany and thought I would look at adjustment of lamps but handbook is confusing, suggesting lamps may not need adjustment, but does not make clear which model lamps are which. Seems lamps are made by Valeo and part numbers are AH22-13W029-LD, the last couple of letters indicating whether the lamps are halogen, xernon or adaptive. However, the only adaptive lamps on the Valeo website for which they give any info are the -LC type, which I guess are superseded by the -LD. Anybody know any better?

The way I read the manual is does your car have this symbol on top of the lamps?
If not they need to be adjusted by moving the lever as explained here

However, most people on here say they never adjust them anyway Cheers Ian

you should also alter this ...
Press the "ok" button on the steering wheel
Choose Vehicle set up
Choose high beam assist
select drive on the Left or Right what ever is applicable

Thanks for the replies, I thought that was the case, but since I have the high beam assist and as suggested I need to set the option for that to dip to the right rather than the left, what else can be different with these lamps for some not to need adjustment? LR manuals generally explain things in riddles and like most folk when I first had the D3 I used to take it to pieces to change the lamps, but got fed up as it did not seem to make any difference - also had sticking shutter on one lamp after I took it out and put it back and although that settled down, I thought it better not to disturb. Would be interested to know the part number of a lamp with the do not adjust symbol?
