rear mudflap

help required

I am about to change out a parking sensor on the rear bumper. Haynes manual step one to remove said bumper

remove rear mudflaps. There does not seem to be rear mudflaps fitted to my 07 D3.

Is this normal . all help appreciated

Yes that is normal. They are an optional extra but also get broken off when off roading.
 You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

Got to look on the bright side 6 possibly corroded screws less to battle with.
