Just been to the dealer today. Ordered an HSE with options in mid-October with December delivery expected. As detailed elsewhere I was told about delays related to engines, but still I heard nothing.
I went back today to find out about progress to be told that the on-line system is giving the expected delivery date for the vehicle as 27th MAY 2007! That will be 7.5 months after order - is this a record?
It goes without saying that the dealer has been instructed to investigate.......

that's not right, in both cases mine were less than three months from order  the current was was even two weeks earlier than expected!

maybe it's a dealer issue, i ordered mine 5-12-06 and will pick it up on 27-12-07 could have been this week but have not got the time. SE tonga green +a few bits and bobs not as standard. Alive and kicking..who's round is it anyway ??

I ordered mine in early january and was told delivery was early June. Talk about a slow boat from England (China)! regards

Latest suggestion by the dealer is that the 7+ month delivery delay is because I asked for a rear diff! Anyone ordered an HSE with a rear diff in the last 3 months and had it delivered, or have a date to have it delivered before May? I need ammunition. LR Customer service can't get order control to respond to them either. Any suggestions?

Three months (or thereabouts) should be the lead time if being made to order, but shouldn;t make any difference if ordering locking diff or not. Unless LR have a major stock issue on the part? Can't imagine any stock issue being more than a week or so to resolve. Bodsys Brake Bible

Alex, hello from a fellow weegie, My car took 10 weeks or so because I wanted the TV, 7 months for a diff is just taking the p*ss......I hope you aren't going by what our two local dealers say as imho they have difficulty communicating with customers clutching cash, never mind LR themselves......ask Ryan at lakeland to investigate....HE's Da Man (hence my wee journey to buy mine.) 2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

Well - progress! Dealer phoned today to say that he had just noticed that the LR computer was now saying that my Disco is due 'early march'. Would have been a nice surprise but for the fact that (thanks to Lakeland giving me the order number) I phoned LR last week and an very nice chap called Bal sorted it for me and told me the 'dealer' date was moved to the 8th March. So no gold stars for the dealer who was to have done this and patently didn't as he had so much surprise that the delivery had moved! Guess I won't be going back there for the next one then........ Ah well - 6 weeks to go - and only 5 months delay.

don't forget to order your d3.co.uk sticker so you can replace the dealer advert sticker at delivery time (don't let them shove a dealer sticker on the inside of the rear glass (ie strip the heating elements when you remove it!) 2007 HSE Java Black.....sold
