side steps
Hi Guys
just got myself a D3 and loving it
wife is a bit short and has asked for some side steps
are they a good idea ?
any suggestions greatly appreicated

some love some hate them,my wife finds it much easier to get into now we have them fitted,i like the look to myself,each to his owngone not forgotten 2 classics

which ones did you buy - is the quality any good ?

Or as an alternative,got these on mine...no cutting,just bolt straight on (won't fit with the semi-rigid mudflaps)

It you want the tubes try Strathearn Engineering or Britpart, bought mine from Strathearn, 10 mins per side to fit and no sill cutting, they look the dogs

I just installed these the other day. Voyager Off-Road Rock Sliders with step. (They weigh about 80lb ~36kg each side, but hey, they wont bend or break if you get into the rough stuff)

I've got the OEM ones on, the advantages are that it's easy to get in especially for kids and it can stop car doors hitting your paintwork when in car parks, especially when the suspension is raised, but when you are getting out you have to put your leg past the step. It's a pain at first but you do get used to it.
