Rear Track Rod End Inner Ball Joint - free play?

My 8 year old D3 has just sailed through the MOT with one advisory - Rear Track Rod End Inner Ball Joint has free play. I called the garage to check that it was at the rear as I thought track rods were at the front.

Can anyone point me to a thread on this topic and ideally a photo and guide to changing! Could not find in a search, s someone will surely prove to me it does exist

Thanks in advance

Mmmmmh? No replies, does this mean they don't exist on a D3? Bump!

Long arm that goes from the rear of the hub, just under the caliper, and bolts to the chassis, just in front of the spare wheel.

Up to you whether you do one, or both, but the rear wheels will need aligned afterwards

Thanks Steve and Mikey. Now I know what to look for, working out whther to DIY will be easier. As it was only advisory, if movement is slight, I will wait until some more steering and suspension parts need replacement and save on multiple wheel aligments.

Land Rover actually call that an Adjustable transverse toe link just to confuse us DIYers even more. Very Happy

It looks like an easy DIY job - compared to my last job of replacing Aircon condenser.
