Photo Request :: Tonga Green with factory winch
OK, here's the deal. We've decided to get a 2006 V6 Tonga Green LR3 this week, but I need help visualizing the factory winch on this color of vehicle.
See, the wifey is afraid that the factory winch juts out too much from the vehicle and looks awkward. I told her it looks better when installed with the push bar and lights, but she doesn't want to cover up the "cool Land Rover lettering" on the hood. So, if I get the winch, that's all that goes on the front. The LR3 will be her vehicle to drive every day, so that's why I'm having to jump through some hoops to do the proper convincing. Any help appreciated!

It does stick out , and you have to disable the front PDC, but then who needs PDC when you have a winch ??. The std winch comes with a smaller slimline fairlead roller. The silver one you see on mine is heavy duty and replaced the standard one.Duncan

Also,......, you get a black winch cover which goes over the whole thing which makes it a little less conspicuousDuncan

Shopping trolleys are heavy, when full, and have poor directional motion - often requiring recovery

Do both - just get the letter set from LR and put it on tha 'A' bar?"There is a road from the eye to the heart that does not go through the brain" - G.K Chesterton
