OFF TO THE LAKES THIS WEEKEND
Well myself and the 2 I/C have decided to do our first trip of the year camping this weekend and heading up to Great Langdale. Been putting it off because of the weather for a few weeks now but have decided we don't care if it rains now as we are desperate to get away
If anyone is in the area keep an eye out for our wagon and give us a shout as always got the kettle on for guests

Just got back from North Wales. Wet and windy but you can't beat it. Have a good one.

Used to be a manager at the Langdale Hotel so know the area very well, lived at the back of Wainrights pub!
Lovely area, very peaceful at top of stickletarn. Enjoy your stay, hope the rain stays away, and have a few jars at the ODG, the old dungeon ghyll....................................................................................................
If my wife ever sells my stuff for what she thinks I paid for them, you lot are gonna get some bargains!

If you fancy a nice day then high Newton has a trout fly only and is a nice place or if you want to spin or worm then Esthwaite the fish are small there with the odd huge one but quite expensive you can fly fish as well depends where you're staying

Cuckoo Brow Inn - never stayed there but walked / cycled past it loads of times - looks great - my mate has stayed there and loves it - never stops talking about it

Was going to Ullswater myself this weekend until I saw tomorrow's forecast! Good luck.
For fly fishing I can recommend Watendlath trout fishery.

Just got back from a week in the Lake District, took the caravan to Keswick C&CC site. Had a brilliant week including taking the D3 over the Hardnott pass-brilliant drive and scenery. Did about a thousand miles in the week and the D3 never murmured.Nick
