Heated rear seats in 2007 HSE

Can any one tell me whether the heated rear seats are designed to turn them selves off after about 30 minutes? The manual suggests they should just go down to the single setting like the front ones do. If this a design feature it is a most irritating one!

The ones in my MY05 'S' go down to half heat setting after a while. But never go off on their own.

I'm99% sure the rear ones do on my 06MY HSE - not that I've ever sat in the back!

In my 2005 HSE

the front seats go to half power after about 15 - 20 minutes, the rear seats switch off after this time.

When on high level (two lights) the elements will maintain a preset temperature in the seat until the cabin temperature sensor detects that the cabin temperature has reached a certain level. Then it switches to low level (one light) and this will remain on for an undefined time period, until you switch them off or until the ignition is switched off Wink
