Good news. 32k miles is not terrible on a set of front pads, IMO. Freelanders can eat them in 12k at times!

One note of caution: did you check both the outer and inner pads? I know on the Freelander, one could wear MUCH more than the other... And it was invariably the inner pad you didn't look at Rolling Eyes

Another Q: did you check the rears?

As for the brake dust... This thing has virtually no brake dust compared to my 2003 Disco. That was ridiculous: the wheels were bronzed after 2 months and weekly washings!

I did check the inner pads, and they were the same. I did not look at the rears, must check them.

I find the brake dust is less of a problem than the D2, but I think its all down to aerodynamics around the brakes and wheels, which will ultimately account for how much gets deposited on the wheel laquer.
