Bought this just after I got the D3 to repair a nasty split in the cover. Your guide motivated me to do this today. Used a tin of contact adhesive I had in the shed. Just as unforgiving as the spray glue!

Never having done anything like this before I found it a bit fiddly but got there in the end. Has smartened things up no end!

Ive got a nasty split too, soo glad i saw this post, have been searching for ages for a replacement lid, stealers want summat like £120 quid for one , so now i think i am going to get this looks v good as well

I can't separate the lid from the cover. It should just 'snap off'.

Done mine the other day , once all torx screws are out it just needs a gentle prise apart with a screwdriver.

Got my leather covering today , just need to get glue now.

Just done me one of these , very nice touch . Used trim adhesive worked perfectly and even allowed a little movement . Thumbs Up
