I think LR made some physical differences so it cannot just be remapped to the same output as the STD V6 engine. Injectors and inlet manifold ISTR?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I seem to notice just by looking at a few that the tdv has a full gear stick, were as the sdv seems to have the depressable button is this correct? Also I have a d3 and would like to have it remapped for fuel economy is it possible and where should I go?
Thanks

If it has the stick then it's 6 speed and 'nob' 8 speed. Nothing to do with engine variant just age of car, 8 speed came in on 12My

The engine is available in two power output forms. The power difference is achieved by changes to the engine calibration within the ECM (engine control module) and other vehicle control modules.
NOTE: It is not possible to re-configure a lower power output engine to the higher output specification.

Oh but it is Pete Bell did it with my first 210bhp commercial, basically he grafted a 245bhp map onto my ecu and all was good. We then took it from there
According to the part numbers there is no difference between turbos, injectors, manifold etc between the two variants. It's all done in the software.Club Exped trailer

Why are remaps not detectable by the dealer, are they physically prevented from reading the data??

The dealer doesn't have the time or the equipment, if LR get a wiff of it and get hold of it - they are able to detect it through a number of means i have no clue about.Mike

Yes that's what my post says ...but does the remap on the ECU also remap the other interlinked control modules 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I'm sure they have the equipment (!) but I appreciate that time is a factor.
Takes me about a minute to spot a remap with regular diagnostic kit.
