Has anyone else noticed that their engine room fuse box is taped shut?
What is this for? How do you remove it, as it appears to be wrapped all the way around the installed box.
Do you have to cut it? Dave

Hi Glymmer_Man, are you talking about the fuse box inside the battery box next to the cranking battery.
If so, there is a small bolt securing the front bottom edge of the fuse box. You may find it easier the lift the front wall of the battery box and gently bend it out of the way. It easily slots back in place when your finished.
Once you have removed the bolt, the whole fuse box lifts and then pulls forward.
Warning, take care with this area as there is a known problem where the connector in wire loom at the back of the fuse box can cause mystery problem indications on the dash if this connector is not securely fitted together.
Next thing, why do you want to get at this fuse box.

The tape is simply the 'quality finish' that LR apply to the engine bay

I just want to get in there, because I feel like I'm missing out on something!
It wasn't there on my first one, but is on this one! I noticed in someone elses engine bay, that their fuse box was also taped up. Dave
