After shopping around in thr Surry / Hants area, I now go to Guava in Guildford. Best prices, offer forum members 20% discount and excellent customer service.
Did some ringing round my 'local' dealers today ....
A service prices £ 442 - 480
B service prices £ 578 - 640
Service plans can reduce price, but dealer who quoted lowest prices above would not do service plan for 'older' D4's ( mine is due its 4th service ) can only take them out on a new car purchased from them
Best service plan i could get for next 3 (B,A,B) was £1600 = £533 per service
Could get cheaper if car was newer as above takes in transfer case oil change
Spookily if you take the cheapest prices i was quoted total for next 3 is £1598
So you pays your money and they take it either way Cheers Ian

Some of these prices are ridiculous!! What are they actually doing for your £600?? Changing the engine oil and filter, pollen filter and fuel filter with a tyre and light check? Parts are 200 tops including oil so thats £400 labour alone??

I've just had my 2nd service I was quoted £600 (Hatfields Hull) at first but when she heard me hit the floor she said she would have another look. She came back with about £480 but in the end price matched with Ripon Farm service £472ish.
Looks like i got a good deal but strangly it dosn't feel like it.
