First failures airbag-- suspension

My D3 has now around 7000 KM

I guess most of you heard about the suspension failure, but what about the airbag one?

The airbag fault light comes up everytime someone is sitted on the passenger seat and this since I took it first time from the dealer.
they appplied a soution which does not work, they should be looking for it again next time I bring it back, any suggestions?

I'm just guessing here but is the passenger airbag turned off and it's just reminding you whenever the seat's used?

I'm assuming this is not a UK car, I believe their airbags are automatically disabled if the passenger is below a certain weight. They don't have the key hole to switch the bag off. Perhaps our US cousins could confirm this?

This is a well known fault to LR dealers. Each time weight is put on the passenger seat the connector underneath dislodges and a fault occurs. Your dealer should know a permanent fix.

Airbag light

Hi
The light is probably being activated by a failing airbag in the seat.
land rover know about this, the part is on hold until they can rectify the fault.
Mine is on its third seat.
Hope this helps
Simon

I assume by this means Land Rover are taking no further deliveries of seat airbag until the supplier has resolved the problem?

If this is the case how is Land Rover keeping the production line going?

If a vehicle needs a replacement what sort of priority is there for getting it back on the road or does the production line come first?

What are the timescales for resolving the problem?

Does the seat have to be replaced with the airbag?
