England 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3

Used mine since new 54 plate, 118k miles, only just having a problem, but will be fixed this week (quick and inexpensive the Indy reckons) and it will then be used again.

Tempted fait with that comment a few days later, got it cleaned out, but it delaminated 200miles later and locked 1 x rear wheel solid at 50mph. Big Cry
Left a great skid on A500 in Stoke - Greenflag were brilliant Sunday night so took me and Disco home and then again in morning to garage to have new shoes and 2 new tyres Big Cry £400.

Do not underestimate the power of the EPB. make sure they get done properly, if in doubt change the shoes.

you can have the auto release function enabled too on the pre MY07 with a faultmate

which if your driving a manual is very handy especially when towing

auto handbrake on on key removal i believe is an option as well than most diagnostic tools can do

mine came with auto on when key removed and geoff. enabled the auto off following a body control software update with the faultmate

so obviously im using mine all the time and so far so good in 3 years with adjustment on annual service Thumbs Up

This makes me wonder....

what other things can be enabled that we (especially me) don't know about...
FBH
I realise the FBH controls were "culled" to user a word that seems to be a current one...on some early D3's
it couldnt be used at all (were these webasto units....that had timers in the nav screen)
.....more recent units i.e. mine just came on & off with outside temp..(i realise its more complex than this)

But...
what else is there to switch on or off or we don't even know about....
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

I'm the same as Mark the Spark, my manual 2005 SE came with auto EPB on when ign. key removed. Geoff then activated the auto-release feature, which is a real advantage, but I have always used the EPB & had no problems with it, so far Thumbs Up
