The plug near the FBH is used in cars with Park Heater. They have an additional valve for the cooling water which is controlled by the HEVAC. Unfortunately Land Rover did never manage to get the Park Heater working on the Discovery 3. Finally with the Discovery 4 the plug is now in use.

This transit relay, is that the plug that sits to the rear of the battery on the left hand side?
I only ask, because just today I noticed this plug was not connected to the socket next to it so i pushed it back together, while I was doing the fuse pull trick to try & revive a dead fbh (did not work btw)
I've not been for a run about since connecting, so dont know if anything extra is either working ot not.
so if this is the transit plug, should have i reconected it?
New to the D3 & land rover, 2 mth in anyways, & still learning all the thing's the D3 has to offer, when they are runing well that is. RRSport MY12hse but don't hold that against lill o me
