Is there a way of improving the reception of TMC signals for the SatNav system. I appear to continually lose the signal to Classic FM and the sysytem tunes to Century FM, which does not carry TMC signals or at least ones recognised by the nav system. I have read on the internet about users of other nav systems having similar problems, the solution to which appears to be to improve the signal strength to stop the sytem going into a program scan. I have seen signal splitters to improve the TMC signals, does anyone know anything about these and could one be fitted to the Disco. Is anyone else having these problems? TDV6 HSE Java Black

I think that in the UK the only station that sends out TMC is Classic FM. This does compromise the whole system, as Classic is a bit dodgy in some areas. I don't think there is anything you can do.
TMC is a bit hit and miss anyway, more often than not it is wrong. I wish I had a tenner for everytime the TMC has announced a hold up in 5 miles, to find nothing there!

Thanks for your reply Gareth. When the system loses the Classic FM signal and goes into a scan why does it lock onto Century, I would have thought that it should continue to scan until it receives the Classic signal again. Once my system has locked onto Century the only way I can get it back onto Classic is by going into the TMC menu and selecting the select station option which then instigates a scan and I can then select Classic. It is even more annoying in that you can only enter the TMC menu when stationary. TDV6 HSE Java Black

I agree with Gareth TMC shows lots of jams that aren't there, it has only ever rerouted me once DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Well, at least you seems to have a working TMC... Not the case in France when outside of the coverage of "Autoroute FM" the (in)famous radio network in use on french highways...
Heard somewhere that it was due to unpaid dues with some network on L.R part ! If that is true, it is a bit cheap !
