What's this thing flopping about under my bonnet?
Anyone know what this is resting on the engine cover, I can't see anywhere obvious that it should go and have no idea what it is.
Thanks AndrewLandroverer

Plug for the transit relay and on some cars it is possible to clip it against the black FBH support bracket to keep it out of the way.

It's a wiring connector!

It is only connected on its journey from the factory to first dealer and the relay is removed (at the latest) on the pre-delivery inspection.

I'm colour blind so whenever I do any wiring the OH needs to be in earshot waiting for the cry of "what colour is this wire"? You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

It's actually Colin's bedside table but for the discerning eye it looks to be a loom for a left-hand drive.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

It cuts out a lot of the electronics when the car is built and shipped so as not to drain the battery. You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

Having one of these relays in the vehicle incase the alternator dies, could manage to keep enough voltake on the battery untill you get home perhaps? is there any disadvantages / Dager on having that relay installed, only for "emergency" use?
