No anti stall or auto release of EPB on mine (05). I tend to use low range (2nd) for hill starts when towing - saves the clutch and makes life easier.

I have an early 05 manual and found it difficult/awkward for hill starts, so i had the epb hill start enabled by TFC during a service as i didnt want to burn me clutch out. Anyone with diagnostics can enable it for you.
Defiantly worth doing for me, but I'm sure there are some members that manage without it.
Apparently , the D3 has anti stall, trust me, I've stalled it a few times! Giggity - Giggity
My 06 didn't have auto release on the EPB, but it has now I enabled it with the MSV2
I still tend to use the manual release when in low box though as it seems to burn a bit of clutch when you really give it some beans to get moving off road

A simple solution is obvious, but I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that you should have bought an auto! You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

Sadly my 05 wouldn't accept the auto-release being turned on for some reason! Low range if you need to pull away on a hill with a load in tow, and carry on until you can get up in to high ratio! 2014 D4 XS
