Reversing Tone
I've just had the battery changed on my D3 ('05 HSE) and when I put the car into reverse I'm getting a 2 tone alarm type noise coming on. It dissapears as soon as you knock it out of reverse gear. It's like it's got a audible reverse notification like an HGV!!
Any ideas? I've tried reversing with no visible obstacles present and it still does it. Could it be related to the parking sensors?Never buy a stupid dwarf, it's not big and it's not clever!

Dodgy sensors are usually a 'solid' noise if that makes sense (mine were anyway when they failed on D3 and D4)

You sure it's the PDC and not a beeper someone had previously put in. The battery installer might have reconnected it?

Haven't a clue what it is. I looked at the rear sensors and they look undamaged etc. Only thing that's changed since this morning is the new battery being fitted.
I'll have a look at the battery connections later and see if there's anything that looks like it's been 'added'.
Only other thing that might be worth mentioning is when I first knocked it into reverse, the powerfold mirrors were closed and the auto dipping mirrors function was enabled. When I noticed I flipped the powerfold mirrors to open while still reversing. Whether that means anythign I don't know!Never buy a stupid dwarf, it's not big and it's not clever!

Update!
Noticed that when the two tone sounder is going off, the PDC light on the centre console flashes. The fault has also now become intermittent.
Seen some previous threads where people have had issues with the sensors being dirty, could this be the case?Never buy a stupid dwarf, it's not big and it's not clever!

Likely dirty or knackered
Good clean and dry, if knackered - replace
