Ditto that "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

thanks for your responses. Cards on the table - I am very close to buying a brand new D4 XS with privacy glass and metallic paint and a few minor accessories for £43k. But before I take the plunge I wanted to see if I could do better with a gently used, low mileage one - including the higher spec HSE model if the price and colour is right, but that said I don't need very top spec. On colours, her indoors who must be obeyed favours Orkney Grey or Aintree Green with ebony interior.

My research leads me to conclude that there are very few private sellers of Disco 4s and that dealers are listing low mileage used ones at a higher price than new!. So I guess buying new is the most sensible option in the hope that I can sell it in a year or two for more than the cost of a new one!! The worlds gone mad!!!

Hi Steve
Many thanks for this.
If your car had been orkey grey or aintree green I would have been interested. That said I dont really need all the extras you have at consequent higher price. I can get a new HSE without the extras for £47.5k but at the moment I will probably opt to buy a new xs for about £42.5k on road price unless something a more tempting alternative comes along soon.

since posting this i have taken the plunge and ordered a new XS to be delivered in March......I found it less expensive to buy a new one on a 13 plate than a used 2012 one with several thousand miles on the clock.
