Yes its all getting a bit predictable and silly now. Funnily enough I have been watching episodes of TG just now from 1989 with William Woollard and John Goffey, with Jeremy Clarkson doing a piece about the beaulieu autojumble, what a strange experience  I can't remember 1989 being such a weird time, sort of reminded me of watching Pathe newsreels
There was an scene about the pitfalls of buying a 2nd hand car and a warning that if the phone number started 0863 it was a mobile phone and to illustrate the point, Goffey proceeded to lift what looked like a D3 battery with a handset bolted to the top onto the table, looked like he gave himself a hernia doing so Ah the good old days, when the most complicated piece of electronics was the radio
