Oil Leak on my D3
Hi Any thoughts
Just returned from 4 days skiiing moved my D3 out of the garage to find a dozen patches of oil on the concrete floor, say size of a beer mat. I normally park my 3 on a gravel drive so have not noticed any before now however checked oil level none in sump!!! Should be noted that it was only seviced 6 weeks ago with full oil change etc.
The dash is also indicating low coolant ....any takers on ideas what is going on, as my black beauty is disappearing into the sun set on the back of a transporter. The recovery block did nt have a clue with the handbrake so I might need a new cluch after his loading style stunk - literally.
cheers excavtor

Christ Xcavtor, did the recovery block (head), drive it on to the transporter with no oil in the engine? or no oil showing on dipstick, you may be lucky, but these engines will not survive long with a low oil level I was told. good job it's under warranty. The low coolant may just be a faulty float / reservoir, a common problem, where the float absorbs coolant and sinks thus giving a warning,(warranty replacement required). But the oil loss sounds like it could well be something to do with the recent service, cos if it was leaking before that, they would surely have noticed it ( I would have hoped).and rectified it then. good luck.

oil leak
Hello,
I've got the same problem with my D3;last year in Germany they told me it's a very small leakage from the turbine, actually from an untight connection to the engine. They said the same problem was with the Jaguar same engine ,but already solved, not yet for the D3.
