I was thinking about one as well but would it make much difference if I got 380 rather than 400 model?

Although the software on the 380 is very clever in that it will let you zoom in any were on the videos and read number plates G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Think I understand,
sounds like the software's slightly different. On mine if I double click the pic it goes into zoom mode, then I can zoom into a different part of the screen by selecting the point I want by clicking (and holding) then moving the mouse.

No, pitty though as that would be useful.
At least the 400's video was good enough for the police to catch the idiot that hit my car and did not stop. Full registration of the builders yellow van was visible, the police and the insurance company were pretty impressed, said that they wished all hit and run cases were as easy
Not posted the video yet, but will do shortly as the police case has just finished.

I have got interested in that camera as it offer considerable long recording time comparing to mine contour and can be permanently connected to power source while it is most difficult with contour
one more thing is size and placement of the lens which is advantageous to blackvue
I am although still not convinced picture quality is anything close
dilemma....
