I thought I would post a picture of the wiring under my D4 XS rera panel. I am assuming the unused black and brown connector relate to rear reversing camera but perhaps someone could confirm. 8)
PS First time posting an image - hope it works
Just done one today but I could not use the brown Farkra connecter as the other end that should go to the touch screen was missing, so had to make a lead up to fit the screen.
You can use the power supply from the double plug in your picture to power the camera as this is live and earth.

The other end of that brown Fakra connection goes to a black Fakra located to the left of the rotary gear selector just below the central cubby box console. You don't have to remove it completely - just loosen it enough to lift it up and get access.
But you still have not got the 6 pin plug for the back of the monitor, its quicker and easier to just run a new complete av lead in and make the end off with some pigtails, unless you can get hold of the connector then use that ..

Sorry Flack - don't get what you mean, on my 2012 sdv6 all i needed was to connect from that fakra up to the back of the screen - I just used an smb push in connector, attached to coax.
No sign of a 6 pin connector on mine.
The only other items were the tailgate microswitch (to power the camera) and the tailgate loom.
At some point there is a crossover of the screen and the one I did yesterday did not have the fakra connectors, they do not use them on the newer screens they use a 6 pin connector.
I was just like you going to do what you have done but you can't on the newer screens..

Dave its the newer software that seems to be the change point as I have done a couple of early Land Marks and they had the Fakra connectors. this Land Mark I did yesterday had the 6 pin socket.
I did a look at one a few weeks ago now and it I remembered last night seeing the 6 pin socket on the back of the screen as we was upgrading to the latest sat nav system and I never thought about the Fakra's at the time...
To be honest its no big deal you just make the end off different..
Another change from good old LR..

Excuse me for being thick here, are you saying that all you need, with a pop up knob, is a camera and bit of wire with the right connector?Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Thanks Flack & Wiggs for the clarification.
Dave T - if you have the knob, to do an OEM fitting, you will need:
1 camera
1 tailgate microswitch with camera wiring
1 tailgate loom again with camera wiring
1 custom rg74 coax pigtail with male smb connectors on each end.
