Hard Reset

Wondering whether to try a hard reset to try & kick the fuel burn heater into life, has anyone tried this, if so does it clear any other settings Confused

Have you pulled the fuse from the FBH? That sometimes works to clear minor lockouts - including low fuel ISTR.

Not aware that the hard reset does anything to the FBH - but worth ago as Bodsy says.

Biggest problem with the FBH is that they are not used all summer and the fuel goes off and/or the glow plug gums up. Takes one/two/three or more forced runs with the purge chucked in to sort it.

Done the Hard reset now waiting the return of the cold temperatures to see if it has had any effect Whistle shouldn't have to wait to long this week looks like it will deliver suitable temps so I hope its a success.

You need a bas fbh controller to get your heater working and keep it working. The only real alternative is the Webasto test software and use it everyday. When I first fitted my fbhic it took a few days b4 the heater started first time as it kept locking out and"only" started on the 2nd attempt. Now that only happens in autumn when the heater is first used.

Bas FBH controller for me then, the Hard reset didn't have the desired effect nor has pulling the fuse so looks like I will be looking into buying a controller, although i'm sure its just a case of inactivity over the months.
