Hi guys, (and gals) sorry, my wonderfully disco seems to cut out and almost cut out when cold, ign light flashing on due to quick low revs. Does any one have any ideas or thoughts on this one please, i have been thinking EGR valves ???? could it be, i wonder. Runs fine when warm and still good on the old diesel but lumpy when cold. please help as you always do

battery or alternator, or both, need to get um checked as soon as otherwise you'll be stuffed whilst out with no warnings of any note
another issue might be glowplugs but try the obvious and easy to identify first

hi, a bit late with the reply (by me) but you were 100% spot on with your diagnose, it conked out on the missus whilst collecting the kids without any notice. The brilliant guy from green flag stepped out of his transit and quoted, "can smell the alternator from here my friend" ! On the simple test with the volt meter we only had 10v output with out the lights on, in tommorow (again ) for the outcome and verdict via the recovery truck.
