webasto thermo top V; which other models might fit?

Found a couple of Thermo Top V for the Landrover on ebay with serial nummer 9007171J, are there other models which will fit as well?

There are Thermo Top V models for sale on ebay, a lot cheaper than the one in the LR3, but are some models interchangeable?

Mine FBH starts/burns for only 30 sec or so, burn chamber probably 'sooted' from short trips, will not work, tried everything (have the WTT tool, tried priming etc.).

Hi Laurens!

I've got 3 used ones on the way. I'm gonna test them first and I can let you know how they are if you're interested.

By the way have you got the GVIF sorted? Forgotten all about that! Embarassed

You ever in Oslo??

Thumbs Up

You can get a replacement glowplug assembly and seal kit for about £140 or so - I did list the part numbers for it all somewhere - I suspect that will sort it out.

Can buy a complete (working) FBH for about 2000 NOK in Germany, was thinking about that. Maybe repair mine and sell it again.

@chocolademan: I was thinking of sorting things out when I got hold of the software update for the BT module but never got round driving to Glen in Bergen... Not too often in Oslo, but sometimes yes, might be tempted for a FBH!

The VW ones have different plugs on them, so make sure they come out of a D3 /RRS even the FR2 has a different part number.

Try some snake oil BG244 in your fuel, miracles sometimes happen.

Have tried diesel cleaner, 2-t oil etc, but it's worth a gamble. Can't harm either I guess...

Service kit sounds like a good idea. It is not too hard to add a small bit of coolant pipe when the FBH is removed so that the car can still be used whilst servicing the thing at your leisure.
