Hi Guys,
thinking of getting a new family tent and am looking at the Jet Tent F25x. Has anyone tried one?
if so what are the pros and cons?

I can't comment at all on the jet tent f25x other than that's not my idea of a family tent !
I may be wrong but I'm sure I know which one you mean as my mate has one for him & his wife, we have an Outwell bear lake 6 tent and it is very robust, it is made of the more traditional canvas as opposed to plastic or nylon ? Has a seperate but for the little uns and a huge living space ? Only dead fish go with the Flow !

Having seen a Jet tent in use this year during a trip to the Pyrenees, I can say they look very well built, easy to erect/take down and have room to stand in.
But that, realistically, is about it. You'd get two adults in there comfortably, but it is by no means a family tent. Its an expedition tent.
Family tent, I have an Outwell Montana 6 and it i properly enormous, and packs down to the same size as the Jet. It has two large sleeping areas to fit 6 people, large living area for WHEN its raining, 3 entry points including one waterproof porch for boot storage, loads of storage inside.
We have a carpet for it, a footprint (to stop the underside of the tent getting dirty) and an extension for the front so you have storage protected from the rain/ somewhere to sit when it's raining but you don't want to be inside.
It takes about an hour to put it up between the two of us, about the same to take it down.
If you want a proper family tent, this is the kind of thing you want! Camping doesn't have to be cramped, cold and uncomfortable! 2014 D4 XS

Have 4 kids under 7, we use a Vango Tigris 800 with side porch & a Coleman classic canopy. Only use 3 bedrooms, large one for the kids & a small one for me & SWMBO'S, works a treat with loads of room. Paul.

We've got the Outwell Montana 6 (looks very similar ot the Bear Lake 6) with a porch awning on the front - excellent tent for a family with three kids & a daft dog. We've got the carpet inside as well, makes all the difference. Just need a summer to get to enjoy it
