Had my D4 serviced last week, 1st service, today I received in the post 1litre of Castrol Edge, WSS-M2C934-B , The same spec that was put in last week .It was sent in case top up required. nice thought.
I think I might change the oil and filter from the drain plug next time to see if the oil is any cleaner than when the dealer sucked it out.

There's only 2 choices of Castrol Edge 5W-30 fully synthetic engine oils here in OZ which we can readily buy from either Repco or Supercheap Auto stores.
The first one is what I've put in, Castrol Edge Titanium with FST ACEA A3/B4, API SL/CF and the other one is the Castrol Edge FST Diesel DPF Engine Oil ACEA C3, VW 504 00/507 00 BMW Longlife-04, MB-approval 229.31/229.51, Porsche C30.
In sticking with Land Rover's recommendation to use Castrol, I chose the Castrol Edge Titanium with FST ACEA A3/B4 because as I've said, mine has no DPF.
I would stay away from Castrol, as soon as my Puma was out of warranty, I switched to Fuchs and never looked back.
D4 is also going Fuchs as soon as it's time for its oil change.
The most important thing to look for in the oil you use is that is conforms to the WSS-M2C913-C spec, and if IIRC, WSS-M2C913-D is also now available, so that would be even better.
Also, when choosing between oils, high HTHS OIL is ALWAYS BETTER than a low HTHS oil!!!--
