Restraints Control Module reconfigure |
|
Heres one for all the Faultmate Gurus
My vehicle is a October 2012 SDV6 commercial.
I have just installed both the front and rear curtain airbags which are ommitted on the commercial.
My MSV 2 Extreme allows me to read & clear all faults, and my CCF is arranged correctly, infact it reads 'undefined' in all areas relating to the curtains.
However when I next cycle the ignition, after a 5 second delay, the amber airbag light illuminates and records the following fault codes:
B0021, B0029, B0022 & B002A - all are described as 'signal plausibilty failure'.
All the wiring and connections are present and correct.
On searching Topix the solution is to reconfigure the Restraints Control Module - this apparantly is something my dealer can do with his diagnostic tool, although I haven't yet asked.
Can I do this with my MSV2?
If so how?
Alternatively, if I buy a new RCM will this be configured to suit?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Andrew

Thanks Geoff,
My MSV 2 is a single vehicle.
I will try to copy the settings detail and will attempt email it to you.
Thanks for your immediate response
