No on the tests done and the findings by General we do wonder how correct the other manufactures results are, lets wait and see.

Being able to test and drive on so many different brands I find some of the self regulated tests a bit strange to say the least. Shocked

This will I am sure cause a few wars as we go on.

In theory the noise should be easy to get right as it is a phsical measurement and can be standardised - the others are too subjective to be of any real use IMHO

I notice that I can't see my ATR's or STT's on there. Laughing

Thats because it's Continental and the other brands it manufactures only.

As you know Continental own General and other brands.

United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

Hi Andy

Am I right in thinking the wet grip and economy ratings ate the same scale for cars and 4x4's ?

Seems crazy that a road car, take Porsche et al would of course have tyres rated a for wet grip compared to many 4x4 tyres but the difference relatively between a G (whatever the lowest rating is) and an F on a disco for example could be huge ?

Seems a bit flawed as you are never going to see a disco suitable tyre with an a rating....

Wow, my AT's get an F for both fuel economy and wet roads? Damn, guess I won't buy those again... (that's what these labels are for, right?)
