Grabber AT v Yohohama 051

Getting close to replacing the Goodyear Wranglers on the D3, 255/60R18 size, mostly road use, but can venture off onto wet grass, muddy or gravel stone tracks, needs to be reasonable performance on snow/ice and of course good value for money.

Considering the ubiquitous AT, but also the Yokhamas, though there's not much feedback on them. Can anyone give thier views or experiences?

I had considered ATRs, but supply seems poor and mixed reviews, anythng else I should consider?

Thanks

I cant comment on the 051's, but have used Yoko Advan ST's (265/50x20's) for the last 4 plus years, and the wear rate has been brilliant, so for that alone I'd use them again.

OK, they are a pure road tyre, so not great on snow and ice, but have worked fine on wet grass even pulling the caravan without spinning a wheel.

In my own experience, useless in mud as the sipes very quickly clog up.

Wintrac's are fantastic for the winter. Thumbs Up

Maybe you may be better off with the General AT as the Wintrac is not the best off road tyre.

Feel free to call and I will be happy to help. Thumbs Up
