Audio Volume Lowers In Reverse |
|
Has anyone experienced an automatic lowering of the audio system volume when reverse selected?
My D4MY10 has done this since new and I thought it was a good safety feature so you are sure to hear the proximity sensors when reversing.
It recently stopped do this, which the dealer tells me is normal and I must have had a fault previously.

I thought it was just the rear parking sensors taking over the rear speakers!

Would that depend on the speed sensitive volume control? As I haven't noticed this in mine (2011) but have the speed sensitive volume settings off.

My XK quietens the audio when PDC engaged...& isnt selectable.

Hey all,
I know when in mine MY11 that when in reverse you can turn down the volume of beepers in reverse and they will stay set there using the volume control knob. Not sure though if you turn them all the way down to nil that the stereo will still lower or not, I'm going out to try right now

Alright this is what I have discovered, no matter how low you turn the volume down on the reverse beeper, if you drive fwd then back into reverse the beepers seem to go to a low default setting, therefore lowering the volume of the stereo.
Hope this helps!
