coolant vent never stops

Latvia 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3
coolant vent never stops

Disco 3, 2005. At engine start coolant vent starts immediately. It never stops while engine is on. Fan is working quiet and i disagree with dealer that only way is to change fan ~ 300EUR+job

Sorry, my English is poor and it is my first step in this forum. I mean Fan Assy (LR025965). I think it start to work when the coolant becomes hot. But in my case it works all time

When you start from cold the fan will be nosier it then should quieten down as the car warms and should cycle on and off being controlled by the cars electronics. When you first start the car you should here the whoosing sound from the fan.

Can you spin the fan freely when the engine is off .
